TRADFEST FESTIVAL CLUB – POKA | SUPERCÉILÍ

POKA is a newly formed trad girl band who are currently based around Ireland and the UK. They met while studying the BA Irish music course in the Irish World Academy. There are five members in the band from all different locations: Aoibhe Kettle on fiddle from Laois, Caitlin Donnelly on flute and Whistle from Manchester, Annalise Whyte on Button Accordion from Armagh, Róisín King on harp and vocals from Galway and Caoimhe Moran on piano from Wexford. The band originated in September 2023 and have began playing their music around Ireland, whilst studying Irish music in College their knowledge and ideas all coming together have helped form the origins of the band and they have inevitably developed their own style of playing with the band itself.
