Docs Ireland present a special celebration of the late, great David Lynch.
David Lynch often said that when he finished a film, people would ask him to talk about it. His constant response was to say the ‘film is the talking’.
One of our filmmaking heroes, Lynch sadly passed to the next plane in early 2025, and now we feel the need to hear from Lynch and his many collaborators. Join us for this special celebration of the art life, as we honour the wonder, earnestness and delight of Lynch’s work alongside the words of those who were part of his artistic journey.
You can expect: behind-the-scenes footage, sensational coffee, untied shoelaces, discussions of time, sensational doughnuts, elaborations on spiritual pictures, a soft wind blowing through some sycamore trees, and a definitive answer on where the fish in the percolator came from.
The night will be full of things that don’t make sense – at first.
