A History Of House With David Holmes. Support from Dilly, Eamon Beagon & Marty McAllister.
When it comes to local artists and pioneers within the music industry, names don’t come much bigger than David Holmes. In his various roles as acclaimed DJ, film composer and producer, the Belfast-based artist never stops. His CV is formidable, with five solo albums and over 30 soundtracks to his name.
He has produced albums for Noel Gallagher, Primal Scream and Manic Street Preachers, and had been working with Sinéad O’Connor before her untimely death. He has remixed Orbital, Jarvis Cocker and U2, amongst many others.
His latest project, The Five Techniques, is a collective of artists who believe music, art and humanity can be acts of resistance. The project’s first single, ‘Resistance In The Dark’, features Irish-Palestinian artist Róisín El Cherif and Paul Weller on vocals.
