We’re over the moon to welcome back Dead Man’s Uke for a one-off gig on Monday 17th November – and this time they’re joined by the wonderful Charlotte Pelgen (of Bad Mouse Orchestra fame).
Dead Man’s Uke are an award-winning father-and-son duo armed with double bass and a resonator ukulele once owned by Tiny Tim. Known for their dirt swing, hokum, old blues and gloriously unhinged covers, they’ve taken their show everywhere from Las Vegas to Prague, Paris to Palm Springs – and now Belfast gets them for one very special night.
Joining them is Charlotte Pelgen, one of Europe’s most captivating ukulele artists. With her debut solo album My Beetle & I released in 2023, Charlotte has stepped into the spotlight with her own songs – a mix of early 20th-century swing, forgotten jazz gems, French folk melodies, and the storytelling flair of chanson. Drawing inspiration from legends like Roy Smeck and Cliff Edwards, and with a deep love of vintage sheet music and 78s, Charlotte’s music pays homage to the past while carrying her unique voice into the present.
✨ Expect dazzling ukulele, rich vocals, and plenty of fun – a rare treat to see these world-class performers share the same stage.
🎟️ Tickets only £13 + booking fee – available now. Don’t miss this one night only Belfast show on the Irish tour!
