Formed in 1978 and signed to the famous Good Vibrations label, then to Rough Trade, Protex went on to sign for Polydor Records and toured extensively in Canada and the US.
Since reforming in 2010, Protex have toured regularly across the US, Europe and Japan and in 2016 they released the ‘Tightrope’ album on Bachelor Records.
With a new album, Wicked Ways, due for release this summer, the band are joined in the Deer’s Head by Shock Treatment and The Hoakers along with a DJ set by the legendary Terri Hooley.
