TRADFEST FESTIVAL CLUB – THE BIG MAD HORN CÉILÍ BAND | LE CHÉILE

Wed 24th July
10pm
£15.00

The Big Mad Horn Céilí Band are a collection of five great friends who have a deep affinity to the music of North Clare; Tara Breen (fiddle), Conor Crimmins (flute), Cillian King (guitar), Ryan Murphy (uilleann pipes) and Dermot Sheedy (drums). The group only gets to assemble a couple of times a year, mainly because of the full-time touring commitments of each member. The music is inspired to get the blood flowing and ignite a collective fire inside the listener.

It’s proven to drive dancers through the ceiling, not stick them to the floor – get ready for BMH CB to blow the roof off The Deer’s Head as they take the festival antics into the early hours!

“The BMH CB are created by the collective vibration of partygoers and only appear when the Atlantic wine blows on the limestone altar of North Clare”

Le Chéile are a newly formed trio comprising Cian McGrory (guitar), Phil Acheson (Bass) and Josh Sampson (drums). The group have developed their unique take on traditional Irish tunes, drawing on the outside influences of funk, dance, afrobeat and jazz fusion. Each members experience in their respective styles has led an exciting and energising project.
